Rubus Idaeus (Himbeere)

INCI-Bezeichnung: Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract / Rubus Idaeus Seed Oil

Origin

Raspberry (Rubus idaeus) is native to Europe and Asia and is one of nature's most antioxidant-rich fruits. Both the fruit extract and the cold-pressed raspberry seed oil are used in cosmetics. Raspberry seed oil has a natural SPF of about 28–50, making it one of the few plant oils with natural UV protection.

Production

The extract is obtained through gentle extraction from the raspberry fruits. The oil is produced by cold-pressing the raspberry seeds to preserve all valuable active ingredients.

Effect on the skin

  • Strong antioxidant: Raspberry is rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, and ellagic acid, which protect the skin from free radicals.
  • Natural UV protection: Raspberry seed oil offers natural protection against UV radiation.
  • Brightening: Ellagic acid inhibits melanin production and reduces pigment spots.
  • Regenerating: The contained omega fatty acids support skin regeneration.

Suitable for which skin type

Suitable for all skin types, especially recommended for pigment spots, mature and stressed skin.
