Skincare for sensitive skin: less is more
Sensitive skin quickly turns red, stings, itches or feels tight. Usually a weakened skin barrier is behind it, letting irritants in more easily. What helps is a short, calm routine with few products that you don't keep changing.
Your routine in 5 steps
Morning
- The Facial Cleanser – with the mildest fruit acid; for very sensitive skin, just lukewarm water in the morning
- The Hyaluronic Toner – soothes with chamomile
- The Hydrating Serum – hydration for a more resilient barrier
- The Glowy Gel – light care with aloe vera
- The Sun Kiss SPF 30 – mineral and completely fragrance-free
Evening
- The Facial Cleanser – massage in gently, don't rub
- The Hyaluronic Toner
- The Hydrating Serum
- The Eye Care – for the thin skin around the eyes
- The Beauty Sleep Cream & Mask – rich night care with shea butter

Introducing new products safely
| Step | How | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Patch test | Apply a little product to your jawline for 2–3 days | Shows a reaction before your whole face is affected |
| One at a time | No more than one new product per week | So you can tell what your skin doesn't tolerate |
| Build up slowly | Use the fruit-acid cleanser only in the evening at first | The skin gets used to it step by step |
Saving tip: A light, short routine with the Glowy Gel is the Fresh Glow Routine – cheaper than buying the products individually.
Frequently asked questions about sensitive skin
Is sensitive skin the same as rosacea?
No. Sensitive skin reacts more quickly to irritants. Rosacea is a skin condition with persistent redness, visible blood vessels or pustules. If you notice these signs, have your skin checked by a dermatologist.
Is natural skincare automatically better tolerated?
Not automatically. Plant ingredients can irritate too. But certified natural skincare avoids synthetic fragrances, silicones and mineral oils, which many sensitive skins appreciate. A patch test on your jawline gives you certainty.
How many products does sensitive skin need?
As few as possible. Cleansing, hydration and sun protection are the basics. Every additional product is a potential irritant.
Can I exfoliate sensitive skin?
Only very gently. Avoid gritty scrubs. Mild fruit acids like lactic acid are better tolerated, but not daily at first.
Are the products certified?
Yes, all Cosmenia skincare products are certified by Ecocert to COSMOS Natural or COSMOS Organic – the seal for each product is shown on its product page. All products are vegan and cruelty-free.
